Feast of Saint Junípero Serra

Dear Collaborators,

I hope that this message finds you in a season of renewal and refreshment this summer. I am drafting this note following the conclusion of a great annual conference in Boston sponsored by Partners in Mission.  There I presented on ways to strengthen our outreach and support of our Catholic schools to a record-breaking crowd.  I came away invigorated by the passion and experience of hundreds of Catholic school leaders.

The summer is a season of preparation for DIA as we look to our annual Summit in October.  When the DIA Summit was created eight years ago, we wanted it to have a retreat-feel. Some, in fact, have described it as an active spiritual retreat.  We take this as a compliment as we model much of its rhythm after the Napa Institute, of which we are privileged to partner in providing informative and inspiring Catholic educational programming.  I look forward to seeing some of you in Napa later this month.

We have spent the past several months honing and refining our annual Summit, which JSerra Catholic High School will host in Orange County, October 19 – 21.  There is no doubt this one will be our best ever!  We have also partnered with Modern Catholic Pilgrim to host an experience for interested attendees to visit some of the holy mission sites in southern California immediately following the Summit on October 21 – 23.  We hope that you can stay for this bucket-list experience.

I thank you for your continued interest and support of DIA.  We are encouraged by the growing interest in the work we are doing in the vineyard of Catholic education.  May God continue to bless and renew you this summer!

St. John Paul the Great, Patron Saint of DIA, pray for us!
