Webinar: “Raising Teens in Virtue” with Openlight Media
As teens develop their identity, instructing them in the importance of virtue gives shape to their character as a son or daughter of God. This webinar will provide practical ways to teach teens how to live virtue in their daily life. It will also assist teachers in guiding them to what it means to live as virtuous disciples of Christ.

Presenters:
Sr. John Dominic, O.P., Executive Director of Openlight Media. She and three other Sisters founded the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1997. Sister has been involved in Catholic education for over 40 years as both a teacher and administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and a master’s degree in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. From her experience in administration and teacher she has developed Disciple of Christ-Education in Virtue, Raised in Grace: Made for Wholeness, and other catechetical resources.
Sr. Miriam, O.P., is currently stationed at JSerra high school where she teaches biology and is the Director of Curriculum. Originally from Canada, she was working as a pharmacist when she discerned that God was inviting her to the consecrated life. In 2006 she entered the congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan. After obtaining her biology/chemistry teaching certification, she received a licentiate in philosophy from Catholic University of America and a certificate in Catholic School Leadership from St. Paul Seminary in Minnesota.
